A growing number of Lehigh Valley school districts are exploring starting cyber academies to lure students back from charter schools.
Saucon Valley, Bethlehem Area and Easton Area school districts all plan to discuss new or expanded online learning during budget talks this spring. Educators hope to stem the growing flow of students and money to charter and cyber schools by enticing students with more options and a district diploma.
Online learning also provides more opportunities for students to pursue niche interests, districts said.
