Korean-speaking ESL students are majority in Auburn City Schools

This article is from News 3
More than100 students are enrolled in the English as a second language program at Auburn City Schools. Unlike the majority of Alabama, which sees a lot of Spanish-speaking students...Auburn City says most of its students are from South Korea.
"A lot of our students are associated with the suppliers for the automotive industry either in Montgomery or in Georgia,” says Karen Snyder, ESL Coordinator for Auburn City Schools
Snyder says most of the kids are only in the states for a few years while their parents are working, but says it's important to build on their education.
